FMC is a designated Primary Stroke Center, the only stroke center in Northern Arizona. Patients treated at a Primary Stroke Center have better short-term and long-term outcomes. As a Primary Stroke Center, patients and their loved ones can be assured FMC has the technology, physicians and established processes to immediately diagnose and treat stroke victims. Additionally, FMC has both inpatient and outpatient services including electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring to record the electrical activities of the brain, intensive neurological care, community education and outpatient physician offices.
As a state-designated Cardiac Arrest Center, FMC provides comprehensive, technologically advanced care to patients experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. During a sudden cardiac arrest, interventional cardiologists work directly with the EMS personnel, emergency physicians and a team of highly trained staff to ensure the most rapid response. Advanced protocols help save lives as well as preserve heart muscle and prevent brain damage.
FMC's Bariatric Surgical Weight Loss Center is a comprehensive program that provides not only weight-loss surgery, but also patient education and support for patients choosing a surgical solution. FMC is the only hospital north of Phoenix offering the weight-loss surgery and is nationally accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare, located in Flagstaff and Sedona, uses state-of-the-art technology, the latest research and advanced cancer-fighting treatment options to treat all types of cancer diagnoses. The multidisciplinary team of oncologists, physicists, therapists, nurses, social workers and dietitians ensure each patient’s treatment is individualized, comprehensive and coordinated.
The Spine and Joint Surgery Center offers a unique approach to those patients who require total joint replacement or spine surgery. At FMC, joint surgery patients are not viewed as ill, but rather as healthy individuals, who through this program, can get back to the lifestyle they enjoy. The Fit Kids of Arizona program helps children improve their health while reducing the health consequences related to childhood obesity. The program includes the clinical services as well as community services. The Fit Kids clinical team is made up of medical, nutritional, fitness and behavioral experts who work on an individual basis with children and their families. The goal is to identify health concerns and problem areas and then guide the participant and family members in setting goals for improvement.
FMC’s Therapy Services is comprised of certified physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and massage therapists, each with advanced training to help maximize their patient’s quality of life. FMC’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), the only PICU in Northern Arizona, is equipped and staffed to provide advanced care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Team Health Primary Care is an innovative, full-service primary care practice that takes a team approach to healthcare for every age and stage of life. The team of healthcare professionals includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff who specialize in family medicine and/or internal medicine. Most insurance accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid/AHCCCS. In addition to primary care, the practice also offers neurology and neuropsychology services.

North Country HealthCare is the only publicly supported community health center in the area. In 1991 a small group of providers, health and human service representatives and consumers mobilized to establish the Flagstaff Community Free Clinic. In 1996 the clinic transitioned from a volunteer organization into a state and federally funded community health center. Since then, North Country HealthCare has expanded services to 12 other communities across northern Arizona, providing medical care to people from all walks of life.
North Country HealthCare in Flagstaff offers many healthcare services including primary care, dental care, OB/GYN care, pediatric care with Reach Out & Read, an in-house pharmacy, integrative medicine and acupuncture, laboratory services, radiology, behavioral health, chronic disease self management programs, a diabetes self management program, HIV/AIDS care including Ryan White medical case management and support services, a radiation exposure screening and education program, a sexual assault program and support group, and screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.

Mountain Heart Health Services is Flagstaff’s premier cardiovascular care center and accredited sleep facility. The Mountain Heart care team strives to reduce the morbidity, mortality, and disability of cardiovascular disease, sleep disorders, obesity, diabetes and pulmonary issues through comprehensive patient care at the lowest possible price point.
