contentsGraham County AZ Chamberads

Agriculture has been a mainstay in the Graham County economy since even before its formation, as small farming communities sprung up along the Gila River in the 1870s.

The river stretches through the county from east to west, acting as an excellent irrigation system for this farm center.

Cotton is a principle item produced in the communities of Graham County, along with alfalfa, small grains, apples, pumpkins and greenhouse tomatoes—as Graham County is home to one of the state’s few hydroponic tomato nurseries (located in Bonita). Additionally, farming and ranching are prominent industries in the county.

A number of agriculture-related resources are readily available to Graham County:

Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC)

Arizona Department of Agriculture

Arizona-Mexico Commission

U.S. Department of Agriculture
