Agriculture in Graham County

Agriculture in Graham County AZ

Farm Credit Services Southwest is the largest lender to agriculture in Arizona and California’s Imperial Valley and has been serving the ag community since 1917. For more information visit www.fcssw.com.

Agriculture has been a mainstay in the Graham County economy since even before its formation, as small farming communities sprung up along the Gila River in the 1870s.

The river stretches through the county from east to west, acting as an excellent irrigation system for this farm center.

Cotton is the principle crop produced in the communities of Graham County, along with alfalfa, small grains, apples, pumpkins and greenhouse tomatoes—as Graham County is home to one of the state’s few hydroponic tomato nurseries (located in Bonita). Additionally, farming and ranching are prominent industries in the county.
