Fresh air, mild seasons, ever-present fun...Welcome to Prescott Valley!
Our elevation is at a comfortable and refreshing 5,100 feet, a pleasant change from the scorching heat of lower climates and the cold and snow of the higher elevations.
Along with our great weather you can enjoy numerous restaurants, stores, parks, paths, a 14-screen theater and comfortable hotel accommodations. Come experience professional hockey, bull riding, concerts or a circus held at our modern Tim’s Toyota Event Center. Or, find yourself picnicking, fishing or gold panning at picturesque Fain Park – and yes, you do get gold!
Special seasonal events such as Prescott Valley Days in the summer, offer carnival rides, antique tractor pulling contests and the Prescott Valley Days parade. In the fall you can gear up for the Yavapai County Fair and enjoy more carnival rides, plus livestock displays, farm products and numerous shows. Added to all this is the balloon festival where dozens of balloons are put into the skies for your enjoyment. Watch for the Balloon Glow, which is held after dark – it is a spectacular view of inflated balloons lighted by their burners – an awesome sight.
At Christmas time, the mile-long Valley of Lights display gets lit up and dozens of scenes will brighten up your winter time experiences. What a better way to prelude a pleasant dinner in a warm restaurant or do some shopping. Or you might be in the mood for a movie at Harkins 14 Screen Theater.
If you desire to do some day trips, Prescott Valley is the gateway to sightseeing opportunities such as the Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon Caverns (caves), Petrified Forest, Sunset Crater and so much more!
Again, welcome! You will find that Prescott Valley has an enjoyable but dynamic small town feel with amenities that are fun, relaxing and very satisfying. Come and visit or, better yet, stay a lifetime.
Best wishes and have a great visit,
Harvey C. Skoog, Mayor
