Transportation

Located around 70 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista is easily accessible to visitors and business travelers alike, via Interstate 10 and State Route 90.

The city enjoys the benefits of a bypass system, which allows motorists to travel around the area quickly and easily and without the headache of traffic build-ups.

Sierra Vista Municipal Airport is conveniently located on the outskirts of the city and shares the runways of Fort Huachuca’s Libby Army Airfield.

The airport accommodates smaller private and corporate aircraft. There are currently 62 hangars and 35 tie-down sites at the airport, as well as an aircraft wash rack.

Sierra Vista Public Transit System

The award-winning Sierra Vista Public Transit System provides transportation to the general public, with special attention given to the needs of the disabled and senior citizens of the community through a customer pick-up service. Taxi and private transportation services are also provided by Chamber members Sassy Transport LLC, Two Tone Taxi and Transportation Express. Both Enterprise Rent A Car and Dollar Rent A Car have locations in Sierra Vista.

For off-road transport, there are more than 20 miles of well-constructed bike/walking paths throughout and around Sierra Vista. These multi-use paths travel along the bypass and connect to the major shopping areas and continue along major thoroughfares and residential neighborhood areas.
