Where is Snowflake & Taylor


Positioned in the northeastern section of the state of Arizona, Snowflake and Taylor are approximately 120 miles from Flagstaff, 175 miles from Phoenix and about 220 miles from Tucson. Part of the great White Mountain region, the two communities are surrounded by Alpine, Greer, Heber-Overgaard, Pinetop-Lakeside, Show Low, Springerville, Eager and St. Johns.

Nearby major highways include Interstate 40, offering access to Flagstaff and Phoenix, State Route 260, linking the area to Phoenix and Tucson, as well as State Routes 77 and 277.

The Taylor Municipal Airport is situated off of State Route 77, a four-mile drive for Snowflake residents, while the Show Low Regional Airport is located approximately 20 minutes away. The airport has been recently expanded and is the only FAA-designated commercial airport in the northeastern section of the state. It also offers commuter services for those traveling between Show Low and Phoenix
