Education

Access to fine educational institutions is a top priority for Antelope Valley residents. Fortunately, the region is home to a number of outstanding learning resources for students at all levels.

Several public elementary school and high school districts serve students from early childhood education through 12th grade, offering exceptional learning environments conducive to student success – both academically and personally. Traditional curriculums are joined by opportunities to take advantage of advanced courses, dual-credit options, along with programs for students with special needs. Additionally, elective courses and a number of extracurricular activities, such as athletics, band, theatre and others, allow students to pursue their unique interests.

The region is also well-stocked with a multitude of independent schools, as well as private and parochial institutions.

Higher learning outlets abound within the Antelope Valley. Graduating high school seniors and adults alike are supplied various opportunities to build their skills or explore a new career field. The region hosts two- and four-year colleges and universities, graduate options and career-oriented technical schools presenting a range of degree and certificate programs. Also available are an assortment of noncredit courses, workforce training programs, general education options and other services and academic possibilities.

With the need for skilled employees and pioneering community leaders, highly educated residents remain a major asset to the Antelope Valley.
