Shopping and Dining

The Antelope Valley is bursting with a number of first-class retail and dining outlets.

Shoppers will find everything to meet their needs, from retailers selling the everyday essentials to boutiques offering that special gift. A mix of well-known and locally owned retailers are positioned all over the map of the Antelope Valley – within convenient strip malls, freestanding lots, community shopping districts, flea markets and enclosed malls.

The area’s most popular shopping and dining spots include the Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale – home to four anchor stores, more than 140 specialty retailers, several restaurants and a movie theatre – and the newly revitalized Lancaster Boulevard, also known as “THE BLVD.” Nestled in the heart of Lancaster, THE BLVD underwent a dramatic transformation in 2010, resulting in new streetscapes and landscaping. It has become a top destination for shopping, dining and entertainment in the Antelope Valley, hosting numerous retailers, restaurants and events, including a Celebrate America evening, holiday events and the well-attended BLVD Farmers’ Market & Sierra Toyota Concert Series, held Thursdays from 3-8 p.m.

Like the shopping options, the Antelope Valley’s dining spread is extensive and diverse, with restaurants presenting an eclectic and mouthwatering assortment of menus to meet every appetite. Casual family diners, fast-food establishments, coffeeshops, sidewalk cafes, bakeries, fine dining restaurants… you name it, it’s here. Diners enjoy classic breakfast items in the morning; soups, salads, sandwiches or wraps for a light lunch; and steaks, seafood, pasta, pizza, global fare and much more for dinner. And of course there are plenty of places offering sweet treats and delicious snacks. No matter the time of day, Antelope Valley restaurants are ready to serve.
