Community Introduction

Community Center

The city of Antioch is a wonderful community nestled within the heart of northern California, midway between San Francisco and Sacramento. Dubbed the “Gateway to the Delta,” Antioch sits at the intersection of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, making it a natural world-class destination for boating, fishing and other water sports. In addition to its recreational offerings, Antioch (one of the oldest cities in the state) is recognized as the hub of activity for eastern Contra Costa County, offering a great environment for both living and working.

Community Introduction

The real estate market here is varied and high in quality, with homes coming without the lofty price tag typically found in the rest of the Bay Area. Other contributors to the area’s excellent livability factor include great schools, modern healthcare provided by three major hospitals, an active civic and spiritual community and a collection of well-maintained parks and recreation facilities. Plus, the area hosts a vibrant cultural sector and numerous annual events, including the much-anticipated County Fair, free Saturday summer concerts and the Delta Blues Festival.

up-and-coming communities

For businesses, commercial development is on the rise in Antioch. Between 2009 and 2015, more than $1 billion is expected to be invested in various transportation projects throughout the city, including the forthcoming eBART Hillcrest Avenue Station. Downtown Antioch, also known as Rivertown, continues its path of revitalization, and talks continue of annexation of industrial/commercial properties in northeast Antioch.

Antioch is one of the region’s most up-and-coming communities, offering a quality of life ideal for people in all stages of life. There has never been a better time to check out the advantages of life in Antioch.
