Ready to Serve You
Citizens elect five City Council Members to staggered four-year terms. The Council, in turn, elects a Mayor and Mayor Pro-tem from its own membership. The Mayor serves a one-year term, presides at Council meetings, and has one votethe same as the other members.
The Council establishes policy and determines the types and levels of service the City will provide.
A City Manager, appointed by the Council, is responsible for the general conduct and administration of all City business.
CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

These groups have varying levels of duties and responsibilities, but all assist in the formulation of city policies in their respective areas.
