Healdsburg Shopping

Women who love to shop love Healdsburg! Beautifully decorated store windows allow for strolling and browsing. Local art, designer clothing and handmade jewelry mixed with great book stores, gourmet grocery and cookware line the plaza.

Groceries, hardware, garden supplies and sundries are all available locally. The Saturday morning farmers market, located on the west Plaza at Vine and North streets, is open May through November. There you can fill your basket with fresh seasonal produce, meats and cheeses, while listening to local musicians. Special events include Lavender Day, the Zucchini Races, the Pumpkin Festival and cooking demonstrations by local chefs.

Antique shopping runs the gamut from the truly fine to reimagined found objects. Look for historic winery memorabilia, collectible jewelry and well edited vintage fashions.

Local craftsmen are represented in galleries by contemporary art glass, pottery and furnishings. Book stores stock both new and used books and often present visiting author and speaker events and special programs for children.

And of course our pet friends are well represented with stores featuring sweaters, bedding, collars and leashes for both dogs and cats, as well as day care and grooming.
