Palmdale City Library

There’s no better bargain in all of Palmdale than the free library card that entitles residents and their families to enjoy the many privileges of the Palmdale City Library.

A local history collection at the main library was made possible by the late city historian Fred Strasburg’s generous donations. It is one of the most comprehensive regional collections of local history in the state of California.

The library houses some 125,000 items and subscribes to 400 periodicals. The library is open 58 hours a week, Monday through Sunday. Residents are encouraged to join the support group Friends of the Palmdale City Library. Membership applications are available at the library.
