Welcome from the Chamber
The Patterson-Westley Chamber of Commerce offers this publication as a token of our commitment to our vision of working together as a community of businesses (profit and nonprofit) and residents promoting the business interests of the Patterson-Westley area and advocating for the positive growth and enhancement of our community while maintaining our traditions and personality.
The Chamber is a vibrant, thriving organization in the process of revitalizing itself with renewed membership, business partnerships and services. Incorporated in 1923, we remain a united group of individual business people who work voluntarily to develop and maintain a business environment of prosperity and growth for the business community.
As a Chamber membership of large and small business, we strive to foster a positive business climate while advocating for the intelligent growth and enhancement of our community. Our members are invited to attend informational seminars and networking opportunities through morning coffee hours and evening mixers where they can share ideas, learn from each other and learn from experts.
We are working closely with the Stanislaus County Economic Development and Workforce Alliance and other business experts to develop educational seminars and provide small business development outreach. “Connecting the right person at the right time with the right message in the right way.”
As an all-volunteer group, our operations are supported by member investment and fundraising actives such as community publications and our annual Lobster Fest, held in the fall of each year. Each year we invite local business and community members to enjoy an old-fashioned, family-style lobster meal that has grown in popularity to now include a Surf and Turf version.
With our roots firmly planted in the community, we give back each year through the annual Patterson Downtown Christmas event, which has been sponsored by the Chamber since as far back as 1924. Today Santa Claus arrives to his workshop as part of an Electric Light Parade, where he stops to visit with local children, sit for photos and share a small gift.
In 1929 event founders added the first lit Christmas tree in the Downtown Plaza as part of the celebration, and in 2010 we had over 50 trees throughout the downtown park area.
The Patterson-Westley Chamber is dedicated to preserving the quality of life in the Patterson area while supporting economic development through relationships that support business development and workforce training.
We encourage members and community members to support economic development by shopping local.
