San Gabriel is located 10 miles northeast of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. The City is 4.4 square miles, and the majority of that land is zoned residential. Residents and visitors are just minutes north of the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10), and just south of the Pasadena Freeway (I-210). Bus service is also available to the citizens through either MTA or Foothill Transit.
For senior citizens, there is the Senior Dial-A-Ride, which provides reduced fare for residents 62 and over, and for the disabled. Access Services, a high-quality program equipped for disabled residents, is also available.
The El Monte Airport is 2.6 miles from the City of San Gabriel, and the Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena Airport is close by as well. Los Angeles International Airport and Ontario International Airport are great for long, international trips or even trips cross-country. The City of San Gabriel is conveniently located within a short distance of any mode of transportation.
