The San Gabriel Unified School District has five grade schools, one middle school and one high school. Approximately 5,300 students are enrolled in the district. The diversity of the area in both ethnicity and language allows for a great variety of schooling options.
Schools benefit from the San Gabriel Educational Foundation (SEF), which was incorporated in 1986 in order to raise money for the public schools. These funds go directly to the students in order to enhance their educational opportunities. This is just another example of how much the community cares about education.
The San Gabriel Unified School District Administrative Offices are located at 408 Junipero Serra, in San Gabriel, (626) 451-5400. Board meetings, which are held at the District Education Center, take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m.
