Temple City features an abundance of arts and entertainment for all ages through exciting cultural experiences and leisure activities. Movie buffs will appreciate the many state-of-the-art movie theaters in the immediate area. Offering amenities such as stadium-style seating, concession stands and arcades, popular venues include the Edwards El Monte 8, AMC Santa Anita 16, Edwards Atlantic Palace 10, Edwards Alhambra Renaissance Stadium 14 and Krikorian Monrovia Cinema 12. For live stage, the San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre and Pasadena Playhouse are close by, and world-class performances of musicals and dramas are offered at the Los Angeles County Music Center in downtown L.A. Also downtown is the world-famous Walt Disney Concert Hall, home of the L.A. Philharmonic. For contemporary music, downtown’s Nokia Theatre and Staples Center have a full calendar of superstar concerts.

For sports, nearby Los Angeles offers major league excitement, where fans can watch their favorite teams and players in action. Fans of hockey can be part of the excitement at an L.A. Kings game, while those interested in basketball can cheer on the World Champion L.A. Lakers or the L.A. Clippers. Baseball enthusiasts can root for the L.A. Dodgers while devotees of soccer (and David Beckham) can see the L.A. Galaxy in action. NCAA football is showcased at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl, home of the UCLA Bruins and the annual Rose Bowl spectacle (even an occasional Super Bowl or World Cup soccer championship), while the mighty USC Trojans play at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. Located in the adjoining city of Arcadia is Santa Anita Race Track, one of the world’s premier horseracing venues.
