graphicBroad, beautiful tree-lined streets winding graciously below the majestic snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains are the trademark of a city that provides its residents a superior quality of life. The City of Upland successfully blends its naturally dramatic setting with unique shopping, popular restaurants, business and professional buildings, and modern technology.

In 1882 the Chaffey brothers, founders of the Upland colony, sat on their horses at the base of these mountains and marveled at the region’s natural beauty while crystallizing their dream of a community. Their master plan featured Euclid Avenue - a stunning 200-foot-wide avenue which still spans the cities boundaries today - as its centerpiece. The magnificent trees shading the greenbelt characterize the community the brothers envisioned more than 100 years ago.
