The City of Aurora's Recreation Services provides thousands of classes, programs and facility rentals for all ages at three indoor and seven outdoor pools, one full-service recreation center, five neighborhood centers, a center for active adults and an intergenerational center. In addition, sports tournaments and local leagues operate on several multipurpose sports complexes, including the Aurora Sports Park, a 220-acre facility that hosts a variety of national and regional athletic events.

Activities supplied through Aurora's Recreation Services include sports leagues, cooking classes, dog training, computers and online classes, fitness classes, gymnastics, tennis, crafts and hobbies, therapeutic recreation and more. For details, visit auroragov.org/recreation.

With seven public golf courses, Aurora Golf has something for everyone. From Par-3 to championship layouts, there is a course to fit every level.

For those looking for a challenge, take on Saddle Rock or Murphy Creek. Murphy Creek is the site of the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, one of the United States Golf Association's 13 yearly national championships.

Try Aurora Hills, Fitzsimons or Meadow Hills for a tree-lined, traditional course. Aurora also offers Springhill, a great 18-hole Executive Course, and Centre Hills, a fun Par-3.

With some of the lowest greens fees in the region and easy online tee-time booking, Aurora Golf offers beautiful golf courses at a terrific value. Set up a lesson, book a tournament or make a tee time at www.golfaurora.com.

Other recreational activities available in and around Aurora include water sports, fishing and swimming at Aurora and Quincy reservoirs, biking, horseback riding, camping and more. In addition, mountain sports such as downhill skiing are within easy reach a couple of hours to the west.
