Location and Transportation

Loveland is conveniently located in the heart of Northern Colorado – Colorado’s fastest-growing region with a population of more than 550,000 people – and along the corridor of Interstate 25 and the Front Range.

Situated in southeastern Larimer County, the city limits encompass 35.31 square miles with an elevation of 4,982 feet above sea level. More than 300 days of sunshine per year, a picturesque backdrop and a friendly community greet Loveland visitors throughout the year.

The Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport (FNL) is an FAA-certified general aviation and commercial service airport located in east Loveland just west of Interstate 25. FNL is the closest airport to breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park.

In addition to quick access to I-25, Loveland is also blessed with the convenience of the railroad. Both the Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroads run through Loveland and provide full-service rail operations.

Loveland’s unique central location and convergence of transportation options make it the hub for Colorado’s hottest region.
