Community Service

Milford City Hall is known for being one of the most picturesque in all of New England.

Located on the duck pond (complete with waterfall), it is the center of community life where important decisions are made.

The front of the building resembles a New England Church while the view from the rear reminds one of Jefferson’s Monticello.

The Board of Aldermen meet in legislative chambers and the offices of the mayor and city attorney occupy space in this magnificent building.

Across the street is the Parson’s Government Center that houses most other administrative offices as well as the offices of the Board of Education and a satellite office for the DMV.

A conservative approach to government has produced a government that is on a firm financial base. Excellent city services and a broad tax base bode well for the future.

The Milford Fire Department undergoes rigorous training and is known for its excellence of service to the community. Our Police Department’s preventive crime programs serve the community, and their reputation for law enforcement is outstanding. The Milford Public Library is a facility boasting over 126,000 books. Our U.S. Postal facility serves the city along with several branches.
