With the presence of two major healthcare networks in Seminole County, coupled with a range of medical practices and clinics, Oviedo-Winter Springs’ area residents are afforded all the resources needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Patients have easy access to chiropractors, dentists, family physicians, sleep specialists, senior care facilities and more in the area. Plus, local hospital campuses provide some of the finest medical care in the region.

The Florida Hospital healthcare system is composed of 18 campuses, which are scattered throughout Central Florida. Florida Hospital operates two facilities just outside of the Oviedo-Winter Springs area. The recently expanded, 341-bed, Florida Hospital Altamonte is ranked among the top 50 hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center and provides the county’s only comprehensive cancer center. The second nearby facility is Winter Park Memorial Hospital, a 297-bed, acute care facility featuring a Level II neonatal ICU, the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute and the Florida Hospital Orthopedic Institute.

Orlando Health stands as one of the state’s most comprehensive not-for-profit health networks and a leader in the Central Florida region. The system operates nine hospitals, including the nearby South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, along with three specialty hospitals and a highly-reputable cancer center. Orlando Health is the region’s fifth-largest employer.
