Residential Housing

The Greater Sebring area offers a variety of housing choices – both purchase and rental, to suit any taste or financial circumstance. Individual homes and lots, garden or villa homes, duplexes and apartments are available at reasonable prices. Whether you prefer a villa with no outside maintenance, a home with a private lot, a place on the golf course or a lake, a ranch with acreage or a mansion, Chamber member Realtors are ready to listen to your needs and show you homes that fit your profile. There are also rental properties available on a seasonal or year-round basis. Property for sale or rent by owners can often be found in the classified section of our area daily and weekly newspapers. A number of quality homebuilders in the area have affordable plans to meet any lifestyle or taste. Many builders are members of the Chamber and have model homes open for viewing. Chamber member home inspection firms, mortgage companies, attorneys and insurance agents are available to assist those seeking a residence.

The Sun ‘N Lake Improvement District, a 7,000-acre community, provides a wide variety of residential choices complemented by schools, streets, bridges, sidewalks, recreation facilities and a country club with two championship golf courses, and recreation facilities that include tennis and pickle ball courts, fishing, model boating, and island pavilion and picnic areas. Other planned communities include the Spring Lake area, the Country Club of Sebring, Highlands Ridge and Golf Hammock, all members of the Sebring Chamber of Commerce.

Several retirement communities serve the senior residents of this Heartland community. These communities offer residents 55 and over maintenance-free living with recreational amenities such as golf, tennis and shuffleboard, as well as a clubhouse where social and civic activities are scheduled. There are also a number of facilities that offer meal service, housekeeping services, laundry services, transportation and 24-hour maintenance. These communities also provide seniors with activities and events designed to keep the residents young at heart. Planned field trips to museums, restaurants and performances – as well as transportation to shopping and healthcare services – are popular with senior residents. Several offer transition to assisted living when the time is right.
