Bradford County is located in northern Florida, bounded on the south by the Santa Fe River. It covers a land area of 293.10 square miles, and a water area of 6.90 square miles. Starke is where U.S. Highway 301, the railroad and the Santa Fe River all intersect. U.S. 301 is a major transportation route for trucks and anyone southwest of the area who needs to connect with the I-95 Corridor. There is also access to I-10 and I-75. Other local highways include State Road 100 and State Road 121.

Numerous trucking companies offer hauling options for a wide variety of freight, including refrigerated and dry loads, parcels, heavy equipment, hazardous materials and many others. Railroad service is via CSX Main Line, and the Jacksonville Port Authority maintains the local Deep Water Port.


Scheduled commercial airline service is available at Jacksonville International Airport and Gainesville Regional Airport. Keystone Airport is 50 miles southwest of Jacksonville International and 28 miles northeast of Gainesville Regional Airport. Keystone Airport serves the general aviation community. The area comprises 2,505 acres, with 297 acres zoned for an industrial business park.
