Or Welcome Back!
This directory and community profile is a product of the over 400 businesses that support the community through their investment in the Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce.
Our community is growing very rapidly. Families are moving out of the county to the south of us into a more family oriented place for their children. In that process, the average age in Zephyrhills stands, at the last census, at 49 years of age. A young, mobile, energetic community is evolving from the slow pace of yesterday here in Zephyrhills.
The growth of the business community is also evolving. We are now able to shop in Bealls Department Store, Super Wal-Mart, Chili’s restaurant and Ruby Tuesday’s. We have a Lowe’s Home Improvement Center and a new Microtel Inn and Suites. East Pasco Medical Center is now Florida Hospital with a new heart surgery facility. City council has annexed more than 1,300 acres for over 3,500 new single-family homes and townhomes plus additional commercial property to accommodate the growth, and new ordinances are being implemented to manage that growth. It is an exciting time in Zephyrhills.
The really wonderful thing about this is that you still get the “Hi” from the person across the street, the moss still sways in the soft “Zephyrs” (breeze), the Friday night football game is where everyone can be found cheering on the Zephyrhills High School Bulldogs. So, some things are changing — but those warm, feel good things about our community are still here.
The Zephyrhills Chamber has been a vital part of this community for over 75 years and continues to provide for its members and the community, actively welcoming all new businesses to the area. The Chamber has active committees involved in government relations, business and economic development and education. The Chamber held the first Zephyrhills Chalk Art Festival in 2006 to promote interest in developing a Performing Arts and Community Center for eastern Pasco County. We have regular Chamber meetings that give ample opportunity for those in the business community to network as well as be involved in community projects.
We hope you will support the many businesses you will find in this publication, as they are the ones who support the community through the Chamber of Commerce.
Again, “WELCOME TO ZEPHYRHILLS” — Make your stay a pleasant one.
