Zephyrhills provides visitors and residents with a number of special events held throughout the year, including the Annual Founders Day Parade, the Celtic Festival, the annual Antique Auto Show and Zephyrhills Winter Auto Fest. This year the Zephyrhills Chalk Art Festival was added and will be an annual event. These events bring the community together with musical entertainment, amusements and skydiving action.
Fairs and festivals also abound year-round in nearby locations, including the Kumquat Festival, Senior Extravaganza, Florida RV Supershow, Gasparilla Invasion and Festival of the Arts, Pasco County Fair, Florida State Fair, Florida Strawberry Festival, Tampa Bay Blues Festival, Pioneer Museum Festival, and Church Street Christmas.
Zephyrhills offers after-hours fun with a number of sports bars and a state-of-the-art bowling center. Pin Chasers offers family fun with bowling, an arcade and great food. Two movie theaters, Home Twin Theater, and the newly remodeled Zephyrhills Cinema X draw audiences with the latest releases.
The Zephyrhills Depot Museum is located in a restored 1927 Atlantic Coast Line Railroad depot. A reminder of the area’s rail heritage, it attracts visitors with exhibits showcasing the city’s history. Nearby is the restored WWII Barracks Museum with displays of WWII memorabilia. There are more than 30 historic homes and buildings for those who are interested in the history of the area.
Area restaurants serve up an extensive menu of palate-pleasing fare. Steak houses and Southern barbecue cafés satisfy hearty appetites, while ethnic eateries — from Spanish to Chinese — offer international gusto. Fast food establishments, sub and pizza shops, and ice cream parlors make it easy to grab a snack or a meal on the run.
