Transportation

The city of Dunwoody’s location places it at the epicenter of metro-Atlanta. With the Perimeter business district, Dunwoody Village, Williamsburg and Georgetown shopping areas and many nearby family centered neighborhoods, Dunwoody is the premier place to live, work and play.

Dunwoody has 3 MARTA rail and bus stations. Dunwoody offers convenient public transit access to attractions in downtown Atlanta and many other key employment centers in Atlanta as well as to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Direct access is also available at multiple points to I-285 and GA 400 with good connections to I-85 and I-75.

Key to Dunwoody’s success is its transportation planning. Dunwoody’s transportation plan has received awards for making its streets work better for all drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, thereby benefiting both homeowners and businesses.

Dunwoody has also adopted the Complete Streets Policy to insure improvements meet all users’ needs. This means in future years Dunwoody’s traffic not only will move better, but its citizens and guests will be safer and healthier with new walking and bicycling options to get to their destinations.

Dunwoody has accepted the challenge to improve its transportation so that tomorrow its streets work for all!
