Two major hospitals and two medical clinics serve the residents of Lee County with state-of-the-art facilities. Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (located in Albany) is a 450-bed, not-for-profit regional medical center that offers full-service care. There are more than 230 physicians that represent most medical specialties. Besides the main facility, Phoebe also has satellite medical facilities throughout Albany and neighboring cities.

Palmyra Medical Centers, located in Albany, has been serving southwest Georgia since 1971. The medical center is a 248-bed medical/surgery facility with more than 200 physicians, and offers a wide selection of in-patient and out-patient programs.
