Toccoa Falls (186 ft) is a spectacular waterfall, higher than Niagara Falls. Currahee Mountain (1,740 ft) was the site of Camp Toccoa, the World War II paratrooper training camp. The Currahee Military Museum has award-winning displays dedicated to the World War II Band of Brothers as well as a collection of local history. Traveler’s Rest State Historic Site is a 19th century stagecoach inn and plantation house built along the Tugaloo River. Don’t miss the old Toccoa Cemetery, which dates back to the early 1800s.
