Bradley Location and Transportation

Conveniently located a mere 55 minutes south of downtown Chicago, the communities of Bradley and Bourbonnais are able to access the amenities of a large city, as well as keep a small town sense of living.


Bradley-Bourbonnais is positioned near five state highways – Route 45-52, Route 50, Route 102, Interstate 80 and Interstate 57.

A metro bus system serves much of the larger community with stops at Northfield Square Mall, Olivet Nazarene University and other prime locations.

The 495-mile Metra train system, consisting of 230 stations, is easily accessible to residents of Bradley-Bourbonnais. Though the train only goes as far as University Park, a bus service is available to commute riders to University Park. Amtrak service can be reached quickly at the nearby Kankakee (KKI) station. This station offers the Illinois Service, providing transport to more than 28 cities downstate through six routes, and the City of New Orleans route, which spans more than 900 miles between Chicago and New Orleans. This route makes stops at more than 15 cities, including bustling Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS.


The Bradley-Bourbonnais community is within easy reach of the Greyhound Bus Line, which stops on the south edge of the city of Kankakee. The Chicago Airport System is composed of two major airports – O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. Chicago’s O’Hare Airport served over 94 million passengers in 2005 and is located about 56 miles from Bradley-Bourbonnais. Also in 2005, Midway International Airport served close to 17.8 million passengers. Midway is positioned approximately 44 miles away from the Bradley-Bourbonnais community.

The Greater Kankakee Airport, located minutes from Bradley-Bourbonnais at the intersection of Route 45 and Interstate 57, has two runways. It is capable of handling business jets and personal aircraft. More information is available at 1-815-939-1422.
