Steakhouses have become a staple in many communities’ dining selection and a fixture in scores of diners’ restaurant rotations. The Buffalo Grove area is filled with an exceptional selection of restaurants and is proud to host a nationwide steakhouse favorite.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse opened its doors in Austin, Texas, in 1996, and has since expanded into a network of 20 establishments. Locations traverse the map of the U.S.—from Pennsylvania to Alaska—with three positioned in the Chicagoland area. Included in this grouping is a restaurant in neighboring Lincolnshire.

Since its opening in November 2008, Sullivan’s of Lincolnshire has garnered quite a following, thanks to its delectable menu featuring fine, hand-selected steaks, fresh seafood, craveable appetizers and house-made desserts. When asked why the Buffalo Grove-Lincolnshire area was chosen as a great location for Sullivan’s, General Manager Jason Yuhasz said, “It was chosen because it offers a neighborhood-type feel and close proximity to corporate home offices.”

This American steakhouse features a modern, sophisticated décor with high ceilings, beautiful paintings, two fireplaces, a fantastic wine cellar and a lakeside patio. The elegant ambiance only adds to the delicious fare, which includes such favorites as crispy, golden calamari, jumbo lump crab cakes, as well as the 26-oz long bone ribeye and 12-oz bone-in filet mignon. The steaks pair well with Sullivan’s famous horseradish mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, which are just two of the restaurant’s most popular a la carte side options. There is also plenty to choose from when it comes to mouthwatering side dishes, salads and soups. And be sure to save room for dessert, as house-made delicacies like the three-textured warm brownie cake, New York-style cheesecake and bananas foster bread pudding truly cap off the perfect meal.

The restaurant’s well-rounded wine and spirits menu is just as impressive and has earned the “Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator every year since 2000.

“Sullivan’s is better than other steakhouses around the area because of its friendly and professional staff, the ambience and the quality of food,” explained Yuhasz. “All of our dishes are house-made from scratch with the freshest ingredients.”

Private and semi-private dining and event space is available in both the intimate Lakeside room and the larger PDR room, which can be separated into two smaller areas.

In addition, Sullivan’s features live jazz music in the lounge every Monday-Saturday and presents $6 specialty martinis and bar appetizers every Thursday as part of the “Swinging at Sully’s” promotion. According to Yuhasz, the restaurant also plans to host wine dinners with famous producers in the near future.
