What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A chamber is a nonprofit membership organization full of members who are your local businesses. Through regular gatherings, chamber members get together to meet each other and build their businesses. Examples of these events are luncheons, Business After Hours, ribbon cutting ceremonies, Networking in the Morning and special events like golf outings, raffles and more. Business expos are held throughout the year to give members an opportunity to be exposed to other businesses and, in some cases, the consumers or community.
Some say the chamber answers the front door to the community, as residents, businesses and prospective residents look for referrals (“I need a plumber”) or community information.
The Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce is a very active group of business professionals! With membership numbers near 300, our businesses represent Carol Stream and 40 other towns in and around DuPage County. We consistently provide programs that benefit our members; either informational speakers or networking activities.
We are not part of the Village of Carol Stream, but work closely with them. Our office is located inside the Holiday Inn & Suites on the southwest corner of North and Gary avenues.
Do you have a business that would benefit from being part of the Carol Stream Chamber? You do, if you have a business that needs to strengthen and grow. Explore the chamber – we are looking for team members!
