There are endless opportunities for fun in East Moline! Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the picturesque Mississippi and Rock Rivers, serving as natural playgrounds for people of all ages. Home to water skiers, boaters, fishermen and swimmers, the rivers continue to entice thousands of people a year to the Quad Cities.

Immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the RiverWay, composed of 65 miles of trails, parks and campgrounds that wind along the Quad Cities scenic stretch of the Mississippi River. Whether you prefer to walk, jog, hike, bike or boat, the scenery will leave you breathless! Along the way, visit some of the many historical and riverfront attractions. ast Moline is home to seventeen parks spread out over hundreds of acres, and they are always bustling with activity. Empire Park features a fabulous, all-wood playground for children, rolle bolle court (a Belgium sport), picnic pavilions, a fishing pier, a boat ramp and a bike path with tree memorials. Butterworth Park is home to three tennis courts, three basketball pads, a baseball diamond and picnic shelters. Northeast Park stretches across 35 acres and contains playground equipment, a shelter, a sports complex, 11 soccer fields, six baseball diamonds and four softball diamonds. Playground equipment, tennis courts, a shelter, basketball pads and a stocked pond are available for everyone's enjoyment at Wilman Park. Ice-skating is also available in the winter.

Organized sports for youth and adults abound. Residents can participate in activities such as baseball, softball, basketball or football. Other family opportunities for recreation include miniature golf, bowling and skating. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the area's eleven public and five private golf courses, all with well-manicured lawns and varying levels of difficulty.

If spectator sports are more your style the Quad Cities are home to a number of professional and non-professional sports.

For those who prefer to exercise their minds, the East Moline Public Library houses thousands of volumes of adult, youth and reference books. Computers with Internet access are available for public use, and the library also sponsors a number of readings and special activities for people of all ages.
