Just as Fairview Heights sparkles with shopping opportunities, it is the perfect place to stay. The city boasts eight well-known hotels with a total of 677 rooms and more than 70 restaurants and nightclubs, all clustered in a large commercial area surrounding St. Clair Square shopping mall.

Diners can choose from everything from fast food to family style and from ethnic cuisine to gourmet delights. Among the popular choices are, Joe’s Crab Shack, Longhorn Steak House, Chili’s, Carlos O’Kelly’s, Applebee’s Grill, Casa Gallardo, Dandy Inn, Houlihan’s, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, Show Me’s, TGI Friday’s, Hooters, Smoky Bones, Red Robin, J. Bucks, Mungo’s, Mariachis, Boston Market, Lotawata Creek, Fortels Pizza Den, Hometown Buffet, Lilly’s Gyros, Tang Phoon Thai, Pasta Fare, Bob Evans, Ginger Buffet, Laredo’s, Bandana’s BBQ, Andria’s Steakhouse, and Fazoli’s. The Funny Bone Comedy Club in Fairview Heights is among the many places featuring nighttime entertainment and has featured such celebrity comics as Gabe Kaplan and Jimmy Walker.

Some restaurants offer private dining rooms and many of the hotels have meeting rooms. Up to 500 people can be accommodated in the largest banquet room.

Fountains at Fairview

“The Fountains at Fairview” is a 48-acre development located on the east side of Rt. 159, approximately one-half mile north of I-64. The conference center, hotel, and restaurant complex opened in late 2002.

The hotel is a full service, 120-room Sheraton Four Points Hotel. Features of the hotel include 16 suites, hospitality suites, special rooms for people with special needs, indoor pool, hot tub, health spa, game room, a fully equipped board room, business center, and small office space.

Casino Queen

The 23,000-square foot conference center is state-of-the-art and has separate entry and parking. The ballroom will accommodate 1,000 and can be divided into six smaller rooms. Several smaller rooms have seating for up to 120 and can also be divided.

A 10-screen stadium seating cinema stands in the heart of the shopping area of Fairview Heights, offering the best of the new movie releases. Those who enjoy gaming can go to the majestic Casino Queen at its East St. Louis dock, just a few minutes away. The riverboat casino also offers fine dining at its restaurant, the Royal Table.

Of course, Fairview Heights’ proximity to St. Louis opens a vast array of dining and entertainment choices to residents and visitors.
