Midlothian and Posen churches are not only places of worship, but also a part of the area’s history. St. Stephen Lutheran Church celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2005. St. Stephen actually is a merger of two Midlothian Lutheran churches. In 1973, Concordia Lutheran Church and Hope Lutheran Church voted to form a new congregation that is now St. Stephen.

St. Christopher Catholic Parish is located on Keeler Avenue and celebrates its 85th anniversary in 2007. The church has an active Knights of Columbus named after Brother William Kerkel. Also, the First Baptist Church provides services in the area. St. Stanislaus Catholic Parish in Posen has been part of the community since its beginnings. An early priest there, Father Serafimo Cosimi, encouraged the people to incorporate the community. Years later, during World War II, another priest, Father Stanley Rozak, convinced the people to take down their fences, improve their property and come together for the betterment of the community. Posen continues in that tradition.
