Serving the People

Chicago’s public services are second to none, and each community of the Midway area benefits from local efforts working in concert with a citywide network. The Chicago Police Department protects area residents and initiates safety efforts in the community.

The 8th police district just received a new station, located at 3420 W. 63rd St. The 40,000-square-foot station features the latest in high-tech policing, aimed at maintaining the safety of the Southwest Side.

Furthermore, the Chicago Fire Department responds to neighborhood emergencies, as well as promotes safety and education within the community. Working together with residents, Chicago’s public services maintain a local presence as well as citywide quality.
