At Heart Care Centers of Illinois (HCCI), physicians focus on the long-term, comprehensive cardiac and vascular health of their patients and of the community. HCCI offers the full range of patient care, including initial consultation with a physician and development of a personally tailored treatment plan. If needed, patients enjoy convenient local access to comprehensive out- patient testing. Treatment options are discussed and administered in a comfortable setting by highly skilled Board Certified physicians.

This distinguished group of cardiovascular specialists came together 35 years ago to better serve their patients. Their practice has grown over the years, now serving seven different locations in the south/southwest suburbs of Chicago including: Joliet, Morris, Bolingbrook, Palos Park, Berwyn and Blue Island. The Village of Mokena is home to the administrative center for Heart Care Centers of Illinois as well as the HCCI Mokena Clinic which serves the community’s residents.

Heart Care Centers of Illinois is comprised of 24 Board Certified cardiologists assisted by a network of skilled and expert support personnel. When inpatient treatment is required, these cardiologists serve on the medical staff at many area hospitals, available at a moment’s notice.

At HCCI’s Mokena Clinic location, down the street from Old LaGrange Road and 191st Street, patients can obtain diagnostic testing such as exercise stress tests, echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests. Additional outpatient services include the cholesterol modification program and an anticoagulation program, which is designed to help monitor dosages and offer counseling and education to patients undergoing therapy with the blood-thinner Coumadin. The clinic is fully equipped to address the gamut of cardiovascular concerns.

HCCI offers minimally invasive alternative treatments for varicose veins and venous insufficiency at their Palos Park Clinic location. Patients are welcome to consult with an HCCI physician in Mokena regarding this treatment or any other treatment options offered at Heart Care Centers of Illinois. The Mokena facility staffs a pacemaker clinic and Cardiac Electrophysiologists or “Heart Rhythm Specialists” who diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders.

The cardiologists at HCCI are committed to ongoing educational programs in the neighboring communities of Tinley Park and Orland Park. The doctors speak and answer questions at local hospitals, retirement communities and health fairs on subjects that are related to cardiovascular health. Recent topics discussed at such educational outreach programs have included “Congestive Heart Failure,” “Controlling Cholesterol,” “Hypertension” and “Women and Heart Disease”.
