New Lenox Parks and Recreation

The New Lenox Park District provides recreational programs and maintains neighborhood parks for our residents.

Over 30 park sites with more than 500 acres comprise the park district facilities. Programs are designed for children, adults and senior citizens. Activities include a variety of sports and exercise programs, as well as bus trips and camps.

The New Lenox Park District also owns the Sanctuary Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course with driving range, learning center, pro shop and bar and grill restaurant. This picturesque course is open to the public and is challenging to all levels of golfers. Players will navigate water hazards on 11 holes, and will be challenged by 75 bunkers dotting the course.

Residents can also explore exercising adventures on tree-lined trails. The Old Plank Trail is a part of the Forest Preserves of Will County. There are trails being built by the Village to connect to that trail system. Whether you are on a bike, rollerblades or on foot, traveling through New Lenox is a safe and fun trip on the trails!
