Drury Lane opened as a restaurant and a dinner theatre in 1983. Today, Drury Lane continues to be a popular and successful dinner theatre and event center, hosting up to 1,800 people at some of its largest events.

Owner Tony DeSantis has enjoyed his years as a hand-on operator of Drury Lane and community leader. Recently, DeSantis passed this legacy on to his grandson, Kyle, who began working at Drury Lane part-time during summer vacation when he was 16 years old. “Drury Lane has always been in my blood, said Kyle DeSantis, now 28 years old and the Drury Lane’s current manager.

Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University and looks forward to applying what he’s learned to grow the business side of Drury Lane. Kyle’s current focus is on increasing the number of corporate events at Drury Lane. “Drury Lane has the space and full accommodation for such events—we just haven’t marketed the space this way before.”

Kyle also said keeping the price of dinner theatre tickets low has actually been good for business, as well as customers. “Our business model is very different from the model I’m used to, but this is a family business, and it works to operate this way.”
