Healthcare

St. Elizabeth’s Hospital St. Elizabeth’s Hospital has been meeting the healthcare needs of our patients in southwestern Illinois since 1875. The hospital is a member of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), a multi-institutional healthcare system that sponsors 13 hospitals in 12 communities across Illinois and Wisconsin, and an integrated physician network. As our name implies, we are a healing ministry guided by the historic mission of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis.

Today, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital continues to maintain the core values of its founding Sisters by exhibiting RESPECT, CARE, COMPETENCE and JOY to all and is firmly dedicated to offering region leading, high-value care through progressive partnerships with the HSHS Medical Group, Prairie Heart Institute, Healogics Wound Care and C30 Stroke Telemedicine. St. Elizabeth's Hospital is also privileged to serve as a Teaching Hospital for our region, offering first class residency programs and many other clinical education opportunities.

Some of our newest, most exciting service expansions include Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Wound Care patients, Pediatric Care in our Emergency Department, Stroke Telemedicine, Hydrotherapy in our Mother Child Center and the addition of specialized Intensivists to manage critical care patients in the ICU.

In addition to these expanded services, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital has also been recognized as one of the nation’s TOP 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics and maintains a Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission.
