Christmas Walk

Rockton is a small town full of big events! We are proud of the partnerships between our businesses, organizations, individuals and families that make Rockton an exciting, spirited place to live or visit all year long.

Spring ushers in the RORO Expo, an exhibition of local businesses; an Easter Egg Hunt in Village Green Park; the Gathering at Macktown, a living history event; the Rhubarb Festival, a rhubarb tasting extravaganza; the American Legion Memorial Day Parade; and SALEing Rt. 75, an eight-town, 40-mile garage sale.

Summer features the Rockton Chamber of Commerce Golf Play Day at Macktown Golf Course; Old Settlers Days, a family event filled with live music, carnival rides, food and crafts; Art in the Park, an arts and crafts fair sponsored by the Hononegah Federated Women Club; Rockton Chamber’s Summer Breeze 5k Run & Walk, with some of the most fun you can have while running; and the Rockton River Market – a weekly staple on Wednesday nights, featuring dozens of vendors with food, crafts, produce, apparel, as well as live music each week.

Fall is a time for the Pumpkin Daze sponsored by William’s Tree Farm; Harvest Home Festival, a fall festival in Village Green Park; the Hometown Festival of Lights, a four-city, 12-mile lighted driving route; and the renowned Peppermint Swirl Craft Show at Hononegah High School, featuring arts and crafts for the season.

Old Settlers Days

Old Settlers Days

Rockton is home to the region’s largest music festival, Old Settler’s Days. A four-day-long fun fest with carnival rides, food, crafts, and games. The Main Stage always brings in a nationally renowned act each night of the party, and the Festival Stage features local acts that are sure to please. Plus, the festival is a fund raising event, planned and operated through volunteerism by the Rockton Lions Club.

Rockton River Market

The Rockton Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the village of Rockton, started the Rockton River Market in 2013. Every Wednesday night between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., Settler’s Park comes alive with dozens of vendors, and live music. Families come down to enjoy some food, shopping, drinks and entertainment. Business partner up with the market to help further establish new product lines, sell seasonal goods, and to offer Rockton the best in artisan crafts, produce, and other great products.

Christmas Walk

The winter season begins with Christmas Walk Weekend, held annually the first weekend in December. This event is a family favorite and attracts thousands of people to downtown Rockton. The village streets come alive with carriage rides, Santa’s reindeer and holiday elves. Feature attractions include the Lighting of Village Green Park, Breakfast with Santa, a Holiday House Lighting Contest, The Santa House, Lighted Luminaries, downtown holiday shopping and our famous Lighted Christmas Parade. Restaurants and community organizations create tempting holiday buffets for all to enjoy.
