Arts and Entertainment

The Round Lake Area offers various outlets for arts and entertainment. Moviegoers pile into the seats at the Regal 18 Cinema in Round Lake Beach, while thrill seekers join thousands of eager people at the nearby Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor theme park. There are also plenty of amusements to be enjoyed at Kristof’s Entertainment Center, a family-owned facility featuring bowling, miniature golf, go-karts, an extensive arcade, batting cages and one of the biggest haunted houses in the area during the Halloween season.

The modern Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center is a major event venue, presenting year-round entertainment in both inside and outdoor spaces. The 31,000-square-foot facility opened in January of 2007 and serves as a great place to enjoy the performing arts, have a wedding or host a corporate meeting or private party.

The Round Lake Area Park District also serves as a prominent fixture in the cultural entertainment community. The organization oversees the Round Lake Area Community Band, the Round Lake Area Community Theatre, the Neighborhood Players and a long list of theatre clubs and camps, private and group music lessons, as well as dance programs.
