Whether protecting natural resources, preserving historical sites or providing thousands of unique recreational opportunities within its more than 240 acres of parkland, the Skokie Park District takes pride in its ability to serve more than 65,000 residents of Skokie and customers throughout Chicagoland.

In addition to its diverse array of programs and special events, at the Skokie Park District you’ll find childcare and preschool services, including accredited summer camps, state-licensed full-day childcare and preschool, and before- and after-school care for grades K-5.

Facilities include community and cultural centers, an urban nature center, tennis, rowing, indoor skating, two water parks, golf, fitness and daycare centers, and the Skokie Heritage Museum. The district also is known for three summer festivals, the Skokie Festival of Cultures in May, the 3-D Fireworks Festival on July 4th, and Skokie’s Backlot Bash downtown street festival in August.

The district is a Illinois “Distinguished Accredited Agency” and is a past winner of the “National Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management.”
