I-55, I-355, I-90, and I-94 are easily reached through I-80, and nearby I-65 in Indiana provides a route to the southern states. Air travel is offered by several nearby airports. Midway International Airport is located approximately 30 minutes north, O’Hare International Airport is about 45 minutes northwest and the Gary/Chicago International Airport is situated 30 minutes east of Tinley Park. Two Metra Train stations, the well appointed Oak Park Avenue Station, and the renovated 80th Avenue Station, are also available to commuters traveling to and from downtown Chicago, to Joliet, and to all stops in between. Twelve freight railroads serve the village as well.
