Residents and businesses alike appreciate Westmont’s central location, which lies among suburban comforts and amenities, yet is conveniently near Chicago industries, retailers and attractions. Only a 30-minute car trip from downtown Chicago, Westmont is also just minutes away from the popular suburbs of Oak Brook, Downers Grove, Lisle, Hinsdale and Naperville.

Whether by car or train, traveling is easy, as Westmont is within five minutes of several major expressways. U.S. Interstates 294, 290, 88, 55 and 355 are all nearby, providing quick access to neighboring suburbs, Chicago and other main thoroughfares and cities. Metra trains regularly stop at Westmont’s downtown station and at other stops between Aurora and Chicago’s Union Station. For longer distances, Amtrak trains connect at Union Station as well.

Pace is a suburban bus service providing many routes for residents. Most routes transfer residents to and from Metra stations. Other routes travel to and from popular destinations such as shopping areas, government offices and schools.

O’Hare International Airport is only 30 minutes north of Westmont, while Midway International Airport lies just 30 minutes to the east. Numerous taxi cabs, limousines and shuttles offer services to and from both airports, which are home to major carriers and a multitude of domestic and international daily flights. DuPage Airport is approximately 25 miles to the west and accommodates both business and recreational aircraft.

Businesses and industries can easily ship and receive goods through numerous rail, air or road travel routes. Trucks, freight trains and cargo planes are nearby and readily available.
