The breathtaking 1929 Paramount Theatre Centre & Ballroom is one of 12 remaining “atmospheric” theaters in the country — its blue ceiling (replete with stars) and the Moorish courtyard facades that surround the seats transport theatergoers to 16th-century Spain. At 6,000-square feet, the art-deco ballroom is the largest freestanding public room in Madison County. It also has dinner seating for 400. Live events — stage shows, plays, ballets and concerts — are held in this extraordinary piece of history.

The Anderson Symphony Orchestra is a proud assemblage of professional musicians. Maestro Richard Sowers has conducted the symphony since 1989. This orchestra performs in the beautiful Paramount Theatre.

Hoosier Park is one of the nation’s premier horse racing venues. This spectacular track showcases live Standardbred and Thoroughbred racing throughout much of the year, and it simulcasts races from the nation’s top tracks year-round.

Anderson Speedway is home to weekly auto racing, including the annual Pay Less/Remy International Little 500 Sprint Car Race and the Anderson 400 with Sunoco Super Series Late Models Race. The track is open Fridays (May through September) and Saturdays (April through October).
