Welcome to Brownsburg! We have the best of both worlds: The city of Indianapolis is only ten minutes away while, as a town of 13,000, we still maintain a strong commitment to family and community. Our nationally ranked school system provides services to over 7,000 families. Named for one of the original settlers, James B. Brown in 1824, Brownsburg prepares for the next millennium with a strong focus on the future. This includes a number of new housing communities and constantly expanding school facilities that keep the teacher/student ratio below 1 in 20.
Brownsburg provides many family oriented activities including community soccer, softball, baseball, football and basketball leagues. The Fourth of July parade continues to grow with over 80 organizations participating in our most recent event. Arbuckle Acres Park hosts a number of activities each year including a craft fair attended by people from across the United States.
