Whether you are a visitor to this area, a current area business owner, or you are preparing to relocate here, I would like to thank you for your interest in our Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Business Directory. One of our primary goals as a Chamber of Commerce is to be an agent for business referral. We have desire for this tool to be a go-to guide when people need to know the right business for a job and a place for us to highlight the committed businesses that we call members.
In Daviess County, the Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community that unites businesses, professional firms, non-profit organizations and government entities, thereby creating an unusual central organization working to improve business and build an even stronger community. I am happy to be part of a strong organization with a grounded set of objectives for improving the quality of life in our backyard by contributing and putting back into this community which means so much to the people who belong here. I look forward to building new relationships, the opportunity to listen to businesses and act as a sounding board and voice of communicated common concerns.
Looking to the future, our area is primed for growth as we enter into a time where new transportation alleys will be available with the juxtaposition of Interstate 69 and the expansion that comes with such a project.
I look forward to new business owners, developments, creation and transformations that are left only to one’s imagination. A connection to each other is necessary during times of change and the Chamber of Commerce is one way members can stay linked. The next 10 years are sure to be exciting and we challenge you to be a part of what will be a wild ride.
From our past, we have Amish shops and farms, offering tours in the eastern part of the county, the Glendale Fish and Wildlife Area to the south, available for fishing and hunting, and our hometown parks for recreation of all types. Also well-known here are the area festivals like the Turkey Trot, 20th Century Chevy Car Fest, the quilt or horse auctions and the comfort food of Knepp’s, The White Steamer or Mason’s, just to name a few. Feel free to come into our office for more information about any of these places, activities, and events associated with Daviess County and allow us to share our pride in our county.
Whatever your interest, we invite you to experience this place we love and find a place to relax here as you enjoy what we consider to be one of the greatest places on earth.
