Goshen Community Schools (GCS) is an integral part of community life, serving more than 6,200 K–12 students within nine facilities.

Supplementing the traditional curriculum at GCS are a multitude of exceptional programs, including Student Resource Time, the Freshman Academy, After School Tutoring and specialized programs for both gifted and struggling students. GCS works closely with the Elkhart County Special Education Cooperative (ECSEC) and also provides the community with the English as a New Language program and Adult Basic Skills Education. The district boasts many competitive athletic programs and highly rated band, choir and orchestra programs as well.

Opportunities outside of the public school atmosphere are widely available in the area as well. Bethany Christian School is a private institution enrolling nearly 300 students in grades 6–12. The Crossing Educational Center is a further option for students in need of an alternative learning environment. The educational network operates a campus in Goshen, located at the Crossing Café.

Higher learning is readily available in the community with the presence of Goshen College, a four-year institution offering more than 65 majors and minors and a number of pre-professional and certificate programs.

Plus, within 30 minutes, Goshen’s college-bound students can take advantage of opportunities through the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University-South Bend, Saint Mary’s College and Bethel College.
