Tourism

There is much to do and see in the Logansport-Cass County area, especially for those who enjoy exploring the great outdoors or examining the annals of Logansport-Cass County’s storied past.

Perhaps Logansport’s most famous landmark is the Cass County Dentzel Carousel. Located at Riverside Park, Dentzel Carousel is on the National Register of Historic Places. The merry-go-round has 44 wooden animals that were hand-carved by Gustav Dentzel, tracing back to at least 1902.

The Little Turtle Waterway and Trail can be found in the heart of downtown Logansport. This trail was the beginning of Logansport’s trail efforts, setting a precedent for all the new trails to come, including the award-winning River Bluff trail and the Hervey Preserve nature trail.

There are also several museums in the area, such as the Cole Clothing Museum, the Cass County Historical Society and Museum and the Iron Horse Depot, which showcase what Logansport is best known for: its railroads. What also helps make Logansport a great destination is the annual Light-Up Logansport Parade, held in November each year.
