Economic Resources

Local government officials and community leaders work together to make White County a premier location for business. Incentives are utilized to attract new industrial development. White County Economic Development supports existing companies with growth plans. It assists prospective businesses and existing industries.

Local leaders work on the state and regional level with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Indiana’s Technology Corridor.

White County has created Economic Revitalization Areas. Relocating or expanding companies may be eligible to have real estate and personal property taxes abated for up to ten years.

Monticello, county municipalities and White County support the establishment of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts to assist new development and needed infrastructure improvements. e
