Quality, accessible healthcare is a Quad-City community standard that is upheld by more than 700 doctors, 180 dentists, 300 chiropractors and two major healthcare groups: Genesis Health System and Trinity Regional Health System.

Genesis Health Systems

With nearly 1,300 beds in the region, patients have easy access to a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, along with emergency care, convenient clinics and outreach services.

Genesis Health Systems three medical centers are located in Davenport and DeWitt, Iowa and Silvis, Illinois. Servicing the 10-county, bi-state region of the Quad Cities metropolitan area and its surrounding communities in both Iowa and Illinois, Genesis is the third largest employer in the Quad Cities with 5,000 staff members. With it’s headquarters in Davenport, Genesis Health System facilities provide the region’s residents a wide range of healthcare services, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, birthing centers with a neonatal intensive care center, a diabetes care center, physical rehabilitation, orthopaedics and bariatric surgery. The medical center in Davenport is the premier and sole hospital in the Quad Cities to receive nursing’s highest honor, Magnet. The hospital is also the first in the region to build a freestanding hospice home to provide comfort and care to terminally ill patients and their families. Genesis Health System also operates more than 30 Genesis Health Group physician offices and four urgent care clinics, and has been recognized as a Top 100 Health Care System.

Trinity Regional Health System

Trinity Regional Health System is a major healthcare provider in the region, comprised of three campuses and more than 25 physical locations in the Quad-City area. With 534 licensed beds and nearly 3,000 staff members at three campuses, the health system is the fifth largest employer in the area.

Services provided by Trinity include full-service emergency rooms, hospital-based and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to aid in wound-care healing, a memory clinic, a pediatric home care program and residential hospice facility. The Trinity Heart Surgery Team brings university level care to a community hospital setting, with 11 surgeons whose patient outcomes are consistently better than national averages. Trinity also provides cardiac cath labs, cardiac rehab, minimally invasive surgical services, intensive care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing and a full range of diagnostic and women’s imaging services. The health system also features a cancer center, sleep disorder centers, HeartAware and StrokeAware Early Dete ction and Wellness Centers, the Trinity Bariatric Institute and new OB units.

Trinity’s West Campus

Trinity’s West Campus in Rock Island has received redesignation as a Level II Trauma Center in Emergency Medical Services Region 2 in the state of Illinois, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Trinity has continually received redesignation since becoming the area’s first Trauma Center in 1972.

Additionally, the world’s largest university-owned research hospital, the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, with 121 medical specialty clinics, is located only 50 miles from the Quad Cities in Iowa City.
